Hop a Mile FAQ

QuackBack, LLC presents the 2nd. annual “Hop a 1/2 Mile to Help a Child” relay event.  All proceeds benefit WAR International’s orphanage program.  Kids, teens, and adults age 3-90 are encouraged to participate.

HippityHop2.jpgWhy Don’t You Sell Race Shirts?:  Our 1st year several teams made their own team shirts, and we loved it so much we decided to encourage every team to create their own.  So get creative and express yourself!  Just remember the race is a family friendly event.

Can I come if I don't hop?  Yes, please come join the fun!  Your cost of admission is a pack of unopened children’s underwear or onesies to be donated to the orphanage.

I'm Late, Will You Still Accept My Registration?  Yes, please send us an email with the details, money raised, team name, etc. so we can stay organized the morning of the race.  Bring all of the paperwork and funds to the event and turn it in during registration.

Why Do This Event?  This is a great opportunity to get out with your family, business, youth group, college dorm, etc., raise money for a local charity caring for kids around the world, laugh a lot, and have a great time.  Women At Risk, International (WAR, Int’l) was established in 2006 with representation in 16 states, and projects in 14 different countries around the world.  In 2008 it opened its first store, The WAR Chest Boutique, in Rockford Michigan, and it’s second store opened in Wyoming, MI in 2010.  The store features hand made international gifts made by disadvantaged women or women rescued from traffickers and employed with dignity.

To Race Against Another Team:  If you want to race against a specific team(s) please be sure to check-in together so heat numbers can be assigned accordingly.

Your Fans:  If you have family, friends, fans, etc. who have not supported your team but would like to come watch you race, their cost of admission is a pack of unopened children’s underwear or onesies to be donated to the orphanage.

What if My Team is Registered but is Unable to Attend?:  If one of your team members cannot participate, feel free to substitute another racer last minute.  If your team cannot make it at all, we thank you for your donation to WAR International and hope you will join us again next year.

Tax Deductions:  If someone sponsoring you requests a tax deduction, be sure to fill out their information and donation amount on the sponsor form and turn it in with your registration.  WAR International will mail receipts after the event.
